MANDALIKA – The 2025 Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series (MRS) competition season officially ended with the Championship Night, an appreciation night that marked the culmination of a long journey of five rounds of national championships throughout the year.
The event, which took place in the pit lane area of the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, was a moment of celebration for the drivers, teams, crews, sponsors, and all those who contributed to the success of this prestigious national racing event.
Sponsor Appreciation and Local Government Support
The event was attended by various stakeholders, including PT Pertamina (Persero) as the main sponsor, the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI), Pride Motorsport as the promoter, and MGPA as the circuit manager.
PT Pertamina (Persero) Corporate Brand Manager Andar Titi Lestari expressed his appreciation for the successful MRS 2025, which provided a great opportunity for the emergence of a new generation of racers.
‘We consider this event to be good, and we hope to support it again next year. We hope that the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series will produce talented young talents who can advance to the international level,’ said Andar.
Support also came from the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Tourism Office, which considered the MRS to play an important role in strengthening the appeal of sports tourism in the region.
“Hopefully next year we can increase the promotion so that more spectators will attend. This is the beginning of everything. We must remain enthusiastic because pioneering does not happen immediately, but we must continue to strive,” said Agus Budi, representative of the NTB Tourism Office.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Motorcycle Sports at IMI Headquarters, Frans Tanujaya, emphasised that MRS has a strategic role in the continuous development of young national racers. ‘The Chairman of IMI hopes that this event will produce athletes who can go global, because the purpose of this event is to lead racers to the world championship,’ said Frans Tanujaya.

The consistency of participants, with an average of 135 starters in each round, is proof of the high enthusiasm for national racing and the strong commitment of all parties in supporting the development of Indonesian motorsport.
MGPA President Director Priandhi Satria: A Maturing Development Event
Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) President Director Priandhi Satria expressed his high appreciation for the success of the 2025 MRS. He considered Championship Night to be more than just a closing ceremony for the season, but rather a reflection of the successful collaboration between industry, government, and the sports community in developing new talent.
‘Championship Night is a form of appreciation for the hard work of all parties throughout the season. We at MGPA are very proud to see how young drivers have shown significant progress from round to round. Their success is the result of continuous development, as well as proof that the Mandalika Circuit is not only a place for racing, but also a centre for the birth of the next generation of Indonesian motorsport,’ said Priandhi Satria.
He added that MGPA, together with InJourney and ITDC, will continue to strengthen Mandalika's role as a centre for national and international automotive activities. ‘We will continue to innovate so that MRS becomes an increasingly professional and competitive event, providing Indonesian riders with a strong foundation to compete at the Asian and even global levels,’ explained Priandhi Satria.
Challenges and Plans for the 2026 Season
During the 2025 season, the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series faced a number of challenges, such as dynamic weather conditions and cross-regional logistics. However, the team's solidarity and the support of all parties ensured that the event ran smoothly.
Pride Motorsport, as the promoter, also announced that the 2026 MRS season will begin in April 2026 (after Eid al-Fitr) and run until November 2026, with schedule adjustments to support preparations for the Mandalika MotoGP.
The 2025 Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series is clear evidence of the synergy between Pertamina, IMI, MGPA, and various automotive sponsors such as Astra Otoparts (Pirelli), Yamaha, Honda, and RCB in supporting the development of young Indonesian racers.
This event is expected to continue as a talent development laboratory for the nation while strengthening The Mandalika's position as the nation's pride in motorsport, bringing Indonesia's name to the global stage.
